Rye Lane is the debut feature from Raine Allen-Miller. It is a stunningly honest and entertaining film about meeting the right person at the wrong time.

Rather than another “Hollywood view” of life in the capital, Rye Lane shows London as a vibrant, eclectic and local place.

The story follows Yas (Vivian Oparah), who is an aspiring costume designer, and Dom (David Jonsson), who you will recognise from Industry. It is a colourful, clever and laugh-out-loud funny rom-com with a sharp attention to detail.

Early on we learn that Dom has recently broken up with his girlfriend, who, to make matters worse, has cheated on him with his best friend. Yas is in a similar position, and the pair join forces for a day of impulsive and joyous mayhem.
